Chelsham & Bromley Riding Club

Team Events

We regularly send teams and individuals to represent the club at Area 10 competitions.

At these events we compete against other Riding Club’s within the Area, if the Club qualifies the team could go on to compete at the Nationals against other Riding Club Areas throughout the UK.

These are some of the dates for Area 10 Events in 2017

(More information on these dates will be available nearer the time, please note we do not always send a team/individuals, although we try to as much as possible)

Please also see our Facebook page for up to date information on team events

HELPERS

Please note that if you wish to compete at Area events you MUST help at another Area event, people give up their time to enable you to compete, so it is only fair if you do the same in return.

VACCINATIONS

Please ensure all horses/ponies have an up to date vaccination record, a copy needs to be sent to us at mail@cbrc.org.uk

ELIGIBILTY RULES

Each competitor must check that they are eligible to take part in the team events for each level of their chosen discipline.

Please see the link below for eligibility of horse and rider.

Could you please let us know if you or your horse as combination has any points/prize money etc. This way we can ensure that the Club does not breach the strict BRC rules.

Membership cards are issued by BRC Head Office, please ensure you have joined/re-joined Chelsham & Bromley via our membership page.

Membership cards are to be produced at every team event, failure to produce means you will not be able to compete. Membership cards will be issued once each month from Head Office, so if you have not received your membership card yet, please contact the Membership Secretary as soon as possible.

HAT TAGGING AT BRC EVENTS

IMPORTANT UPDATES FOR 2016:

Due to a change by the European Commission regarding the EN1384 and BSEN1384 standards, these are no longer classed as being accepted standards, all hats which only meet the standards EN1384 or BSEN1384, will not be accepted and therefore will not be permitted for any BRC competitions.

Hats which bear either EN1384 or BSEN1384 along with another standard will be tagged.

For example:

BSEN1384 & PAS015 (1998 or 2011) along with the Kitemark, would be accepted, but not BSEN1384 on its own.

IMPORTANT CHANGE FOR THE CROSS COUNTRY PHASE:

Only a “Jockey Skull” complying with the above standards may be worn for any cross country phase.

This must not have a peak, any peak type extensions or noticeable protuberances above the eyes or to the front and should have an even round or elliptical shape with a smooth or slightly abrasive surface.

A removable hat cover with a light flexible peak may be used if required.

The use of head cameras is strictly prohibited at any BRC affiliated competition. This includes use on the head, chest, bridle or any other part of the horse or rider.
